This dynamic creation by Nemo features the city of Indianapolis. The title feature is the iconic Broad Ripple concert venue, The Vogue. Not to be left out is the Walker Theatre and of course The Soldiers and Sailors Monument, Monument Circle.

Other Indianapolis landmarks are included in this epic painting: The Arts Garden, the Children’s Museum, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the Indy 500 pagoda, Victory Field, Scottish Rite Cathedral, St. Elmo’s.

Not to be left out are logos for the revered academic institutions: Indiana University, the Purdue Boilermaker, the Butler Bulldog and the Notre Dame Fightin’ Irish.

An Indianapolis painting would not be complete without reference to the beloved Indianapolis Colts, a basketball hoop for March mania and some cars from the Indianapolis Speedway.

James Dean and the L.S. Ayres clock remind us of Indiaa’s past.

Nemo was born Victor Colesnicenco and grew up in Chisinau, the capital city of Moldova. This Eastern European nation is known for its rich artistic heritage. Nemo, as he is known to his friends, remembers being fascinated by the carvings and other craft works that surrounded him. He particularly loved paintings and, at a young age, was determined to become an artist. readmore
