Betina Levin was born in Argentina. She is an artist, teacher and psychologist who lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In her creative work, the experiences of life prevail over knowledge and technique. She explores the themes of spontaneity and unpredictability, and works with the impressions left by her memories. Through abstract landscapes, the artist depicts fleeting and ineffable times. Through elegant abstract landscapes, Betina Levin plunges us into a world full of emotions where dreams and impressions are intertwined. Betina captures fleeting and intangible feelings and depicts the subconscious with beautiful colors and great creativity.
Betina starts her painting by laying it flat on the floor. She uses a small stick to drip a few drops of enamel (which she has diluted with water) to give this vaporous effect. Then she uses a spray (gold or silver) to create her backgrounds. She then continues with acrylic and adds gold or silver paint.
On silvery and textured backgrounds, one can feel the shimmer of a twilight, the glow of a sunset, or clouds dancing around a mountain. The bewitching softness of her abstraction causes a deep and universal feeling to surface from inside.
Since 2003, Levin has exhibited in France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Uruguay, Argentina, Britain, Canada and the United States.
