Jaime Jurado was born in Lucena, Spain in 1976. He recognized his path at the age of twelve years old and began his training. He earned his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from Mateo Inurria College in Córdoba, Spain.
Jurado works in oil, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media. Among his many accolades, he won the first Gaudi Waterolor Award in 2008 to which he said “in this world you never know. I have been working for many years and nobody has given me anything. The best of all this is that your name sounds louder and stronger and you become known.” (translated from Spanish)
Jurado is the Commissioner of the Town Hall of Lucena Art Space and a Member of the Watercolorist Association o Andalucia.

Among Jurado’s many accolades and honors, he has earned over thirty First Prizes in a variety of painting competitions in Badajoz, Madrid, Granada, Jaén, Ciudad Real, Albacete, Vélez-Malaga, Toledo, Córdoba, Valle del Guadiato, Ciudad de Osunam Cabezas del Buey, Artespiel, Ciudad de Ararfe, Arenas and Hacienda El Rosalejo.
