The world has lost a celebrated and renown artist with the death of Peter Max on September 14, 2026. We, at CV Art and Frame, are honored to have known and hosted this popular and iconic man who defied all odds, becoming the first artist to have sold over a million posters of a single image.

During Indiana’s bicentennial in 2016, Peter Max visited our gallery in Zionsville, Indiana. He created beautifully bright pieces, especially for our gallery, celebrating the event. We welcomed hundreds of collectors during that visit and fans who had varying Peter Max keepsakes that included linens, dinnerware, hockey stick and even a fondue pot. What a memorable time!

Later, we would take small groups of collectors to New York City to meet with Peter in his studio. We had great dinners and cruises that took us past Lady Liberty whose renovation came about with a little help from Peter. Such an impact he had in spreading love, joy, peace, animal protection and earth conservation.
