Gerald Biography

Gerald was born into a family of artists in 1963 in Ancash, Peru. His mother was a renown ceramist while his father was a painter. He studied at the prestigious Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de Lima under the direction of well-know masters like Milner Cajahuaringa and Miguel Angel Cuadros.

He graduated from art school in 1988 in second place and has since held several exhibitions, some of which have been one-person shows. Galeria 2VS (1989, 1994), Galeria Alianza Francesa (1992, 1993), Mueso Pedro de Osma (1992, Galeria Formas (1993) and Muncipalidad de Miraflores (1990) are among some of his most important exhibitions.

His awards include 1st prize in the “Arte Jove” contest and 3rd prize in the Hotel Crillon National Contest, both in 1989.
